We’re a UK-based EdTech startup on a mission to empower families through gamified, curriculum-aligned education and financial literacy. Built by a founder who knows what it means to hustle, raise siblings, and learn through lived experience, SwotHub turns everyday learning into a bold, interactive journey.

OUR FOUNDER

SwotHub was built by a teacher at heart.

Mal Barrett, our Founder & CEO, began tutoring primary students at just 15. She shown compassion and patience to younger learners who needed guidance, encouragement, and someone who believed in them. That early experience sparked a lifelong passion for education and a deep understanding of how learning can transform lives.

Raised in Manchester, Mal stepped into a leadership role at home after losing her father at 13, raising her younger sisters while finishing school. That chapter shaped her resilience, empathy, and drive to build tools that empower families—not just academically, but emotionally and financially.

SwotHub is more than a startup—it’s a movement to invest in the next generation. Mal’s mission is to make learning feel vibrant, inclusive, and legacy-building. Whether it’s mastering science or understanding money, SwotHub helps children and families build confidence, curiosity, and control.
